From Big 4 Auditor to Building a Lead Gen Empire
The unconventional path from Ernst & Young and corporate finance to managing $3M+/month in insurance advertising — and why faith and family drive everything I do.
The Short Version
I'm Jeromy Kovatana. I help insurance agencies and IMOs build lead generation systems that scale past $100K/month in ad spend — profitably. Through my companies — LeadsBakery, The Lead Gurus, TeleCRM, and AgenticPro — I manage over $3 million per month in advertising for clients like GOAT Leads and have generated more than 1,000,000 leads for the insurance industry.
But the road here wasn't a straight line. It included Big 4 accounting, a CFO role, a bankruptcy, and a complete reinvention. Here's how it happened.
The Long Version
I graduated from Oklahoma State University with degrees in Finance and Accounting. From there, I went straight into the Big 4 — first at Ernst & Young, then Grant Thornton. I was on the CPA track, auditing companies, building financial models, and doing everything a "good" finance career looks like on paper.
Eventually, I took a CFO position. I was running the numbers for other people's companies, managing their financial strategies, making the "smart" moves. Then everything fell apart.
I went through a bankruptcy. The kind that doesn't just hit your bank account — it hits your identity. When your whole career has been built around financial discipline and you go bankrupt, you have to reckon with some things. For me, that reckoning led me to faith. My relationship with Jesus Christ became the foundation I rebuilt everything on.
I found my way into the insurance industry almost by accident. I started helping agents get leads. What I discovered was that my financial background gave me a massive advantage — I could see the unit economics that most marketers miss. I understood cost per acquisition not as a marketing metric, but as a P&L line item that determines whether a business survives.
That combination — finance brain plus marketing execution — became the engine behind everything. I founded The Lead Gurus, then GetFEXLeads, and eventually LeadsBakery — building lead generation infrastructure for the insurance industry. Along the way, I built TeleCRM and AgenticPro, GoHighLevel SaaS products that peaked at 450 active recurring users. I also built custom platforms with Supabase backends, ViciDial integrations, and full telecom systems. Major clients like GOAT Leads trusted me to architect and manage their entire lead generation operations. We've generated more than 1,000,000 leads and helped clients place over $50 million in premium.
Along the way, we earned three ClickFunnels Two Comma Club awards — recognition for generating over $1 million through a single funnel. Three times.

Faith, Family, Then Business
My priorities are simple: God first, then my wife Hope and our four boys, then the work. I'm a Christ follower, and that's not a footnote on my bio — it's the operating system. Every business decision, every relationship, every risk is filtered through the question: does this honor the life I've been given?
We attend Rock Harbor church here in Idaho. My Thai heritage runs deep — I speak Thai and carry the values of hard work, respect, and gratitude that my family instilled in me. Those values show up in how I treat clients, how I build teams, and how I show up every day.
When I'm not building lead generation systems, I'm coaching my boys' sports teams, spending time with Hope, or figuring out how to eat my way through another Thai recipe my mom would be proud of.
